Weddings are all about details and personal touches. I love taking photos of some of the little details added in by the bride and groom, because these are the things that make their day look and feel even more special.

I photograph the bride’s and groom’s details in a way that matches and showcases the style of the entire wedding day. So, in some ways, the details set the stage for the whole wedding and I love having time to style and photograph everything from the dress to the rings. I ask brides to gather any details they have before I arrive so that I can walk in, say hello, and then begin by shooting all of those little treasures!

 

If you want to have those amazing photos, here is a wedding details checklist so that everything can be captured and saved forever:

• Wedding dress and a wooden hanger. A custom hanger is great if you have it!
• Veil / hair pieces
• Rings (all three)
• Bridal shoes
• Bouquet and boutonniere
• Jewelry
• Perfume
• Two invitation suites. This allows me to photograph front and back at the same time.
• Something borrowed and something blue
• Groom’s shoes
• Tie / bowtie
• Cufflinks and watch

 

Bonus: Have the bouquet and boutonnieres delivered to you at the same time that I arrive so that I can include those amazing flowers into the detail photos I’ll be capturing.
