As a photographer, I absolutely love the fact that we can experience all four seasons here in Washington state! Even though I would probably call myself a spring/summer person, when I get a chance to create some snowy pictures I say “HECK YES”! Snowy PNW creates such a unique and beautiful backdrop for any session – family, elopement, engagement or anniversary! So if you’d like to explore the possibility of a snowy session with me, let me know! I know some pretty incredible locations and would love to go to any of them for a fun snowy adventure with you!

Now let’s get to the session of Betty & Denis! We wanted to get some relaxed and romantic images in the snow without having to hike anywhere or drive for more than 1,5 hours from Seattle. The closest snowy location was Snoqualmie Pass and we decided to go there. Little did we know that Snoqualmie Pass on Saturday at this time of year is as crowdy as Pike Place on 4th of July! All the snowshoers, hikers, skiers, and families with kids were there to enjoy their day in the mountains! Fortunately, it’s not the first time I’ve shot at a crowdy location, and after parking on the side of the road, a little bit of scouting and planning we could finally start the session! We began at a little passway to the side of the main trail and then when the crowd passed we moved to the wider main trail to change the scenery and add some variety to the images. I love the way the gallery turned out and the fact that we were able to get all those shots pretty much right next to the place we parked! 🙂
