Alex and Linda’s intimate wedding was absolutely amazing. It was filled with beauty, laughter, love, and happy tears. They decided to celebrate the beginning of their journey as a married couple by having an outdoor ceremony at Parsons Gardens in Seattle with only their closest family and friends in attendance.
The ceremony site was beautifully arranged with flowers that blew me away the second I saw them – huge pink peonies nicely composed with lush delphinium and delicate buttercups! The color palette was out of this world and matched the garden location so perfectly.
Once all of the guests were seated, Alex made his way to the head of the aisle to wait for his beautiful bride and see her for the first time that day! When Linda walked down the aisle, it was so special and emotional. Those few moments might honestly have been my favorite of the day. Their ceremony really was straight out of a fairytale complete with a garden, flowers everywhere, and a lovely couple getting married under a grand, old tree. I mean, weddings in Disney movies look just like that, don’t they?
After the ceremony ended and everybody hugged the newlyweds, it was time to start on the family portraits. I love this couple dearly, and what they did for their family formals completely melted my heart once again! They rented a set of antique sofas specifically for the photos and it gave this part of the session a vintage vibe that was so beautiful.
When we wrapped up shooting with their family and friends, it was finally time to start on the couple’s portraits, which is always my favorite! Linda rocked a chic Anthropologie dress with a delicate bridal belt she crafted herself and Alex was such a stud in his burgundy suit. I loved their looks and had so much fun capturing them together!
We got some shots around the venue and then…drumroll please…we headed home for an outfit change! Yes! Linda had a fabulous second dress she prepared for the reception and after party. It was an amazing high-neck sleeveless red dress with a beautiful lace top and pleated bottom. After Linda and Alex changed into their new looks, we got even more portraits on their rooftop. If you couldn’t already tell, this whole wedding was a photographer’s dream!
After all the photos were finished, we made our way to the reception venue, Lark Restaurant in Seattle, where Linda and Alex made their grand entrance to kick things off. It all began with the most delicious dinner. Seriously, that salmon was to die for, and I heard the steaks were awesome too. (Seems like an amazing date night spot, just FYI!) Then it was time for toasts and cake cutting.
What a beautiful, special wedding for an incredible couple. Linda and Alex, I wish you nothing but a lifetime of love and happiness! Thanks so much for allowing me to be part of your day.
