Ellise and Robert’s engagement session at Lavender Wind Farm & Ebey’s Landing on Whidbey Island was an absolute dream! It was a sunny summer evening but the breeze from the water made us feel fresh and easy. We’ve started the session at the Lavender Wind Farm and Ellise chose to wear a white lace dress that contrasted beautifully against the purple lavender flowers. As the sun sank a little closer to the horizon we drove to Ebey’s Landing where E & R quickly switched to a casual outfit for just a few images with the fur baby Beefy, and then to another more dressy attire for the final sunset portion of the session. And, oh boy, was it a grand finale to this already wonderful day! The sky turned pastel peach and the water looked bright aquamarine in the soft sunset light. I am absolutely in love with the wide scenic photos we were able to capture before it got too dark for my camera and those are definitely my favorite from this series!
The whole session was shot with my trusty medium format Mamiya on Fuji 400H and scanned by Richard Photo Lab. Can’t help but love those soft Fuji tones!
